This week, the Rams played Gateway Christian for their first State Baseball Tournament in many years. Unfortunately, they lost. "They played good, it just took them a little while for them warm up. If they would have one more inning, I guarantee they could have won. They played well, though. I'm proud of them and can't wait until next year. We are going to lose beloved seniors who really loved the game, and we are going to miss them. We had one of the first winning seasons we've had in years. They made history this year, and I'm proud of them. Next year, we're going to make more history." said Coach Alex Martinez.

This weekend, over the two day track meet, the Rams ran at State. Almost every single person that went placed in something. The Lady Rams ended up placing third and tying with Springer for third. The boys did not place but did have individuals run well. "The girls had many points all across the board. We had many girls in field events and they all did well in their individual races. We also racked up points in our relays, which also placed very high. Our boys also did very well considering the circumstances. We had a lot of the young ones step up in individual events and place. We didn't have very many field events, and only one of the guys placed in his field event. We also disqualified two of our relays. But the boys did well even without those events. I'm proud of how far we have come this year and I am really gonna miss the seniors. We are going to lose a lot of seniors and they will be greatly missed. We will always be a strong family, though. I can't wait until next year and hope to see everyone come out again." said Coach Jeremy Ricklefs.
